Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything. – Muhammad Ali
Let’s explain 6 reasons why I adore Ms. Anslin:
Ms. Anslin planned a bicycle/tricycle/wagon parade, in our neighborhood, for all the kids. Balloons included.
In a moment of desperation, she let me print off a very important Disney coupon on her computer.
We are both Music Education graduates, so we can have little music-geek-fests together. (BOY! Can she sing!)
She stands firmly in her faith. She is not afraid to set the example, encourage those who are doing their best, and cheer on those who are still finding their way.
She is fiercely devoted to being a Mom. Remember this post? She is the ultimate “Crossroads” momma.
Ok. Sometimes she borrows my shoes, or my jewelry – so I feel like a fashionista.
I loved Ms. Anslin immediately once I saw parallels between her and my older sister, Becca. They are both amazing vocalists, avid readers, and their husbands BOTH DROVE old-school silver bullet VANS when they were dating. Go figure.
All jokes aside – this woman has such strength. The confidence she carries is from a divine source, which I believe to be her greatest example to me. Seriously, What if our confidence came from a higher power or being, instead of a world of facebook likes, 15 minutes of fame, or shiny awards? Sounds like a post for another day!
Love you, dear friend!
P.S. Amazing how just a few months can change things. Here we are photographing in Sunny AZ. Ms. Anslin’s facebook status from yesterday stated: “Frosted windowpanes! (on the INSIDE of my windows!)” She’s talking about inside her HOUSE, not her car! Stay warm, friend!
